The McIntosh MSA5500 stands out not only for its signature arrow indicators with recognizable backlighting, but can also deliver up to 100 W (class AB) per channel at 8 Ohms and 160 W at 4 Ohms load.

The amplifier has absorbed all the advanced McIntosh technologies. The X Power Guard technology is responsible for the safety of the speakers here, and the amplifier is protected from short circuits by the proprietary Sentry Monitor automatic system. Fully passive cooling of the output stages is implemented on McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsink radiators.

The MA9500 comes standard with a DA2 digital audio module, it offers 7 digital inputs: 2 coaxial, 2 optical, 1 USB, 1 MCT, and 1 HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) only connection1. The DA2 is equipped with an 8-channel 32-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), which improves both the dynamic range and the total amount of harmonic distortion compared to the DAC in the DA1.

The power of the McIntosh MA352 reaches 2 x 200 watts for an 8 ohm load or 2 x 320 watts for 4 ohms. There are four lamps in the preda section, a pair of 12AX7A and two 12AT7. "On board" there are two balanced and three unbalanced inputs and a connector for connecting a turntable (there is also an MM phono corrector).

The McIntosh MA7200 amplifier has 14 inputs: 5 unbalanced, 1 balanced, one background input for MM and MC cartridges, a pair of coaxial and optical, USB and a proprietary MCT. The digital inputs are located in the removable DA1 module: after some time, the user will be able to replace it with a more modern version.

The case of the MAC7200 receiver is made in the unchanged McIntosh style with blue indicators, a black glass front panel with aluminum end plates, control knobs and a backlit logo.

The first hybrid integrated amplifier in the McIntosh catalog was the MA252. It is largely based on the classic MC275 tube, but it does not lose the advantages of transistor sound. The preamp part is based on two pairs of lamps — 12AX7a and 12AT7, the lamps themselves are covered with protective covers. The output stage is transistor, and outputs an amplifier of 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms or 160 watts per channel at 4 ohms.
