Monitor Audio Vestra – Affordable Subwoofers with Excellent Bass

The well-known acoustics manufacturer, Monitor Audio, has released three new active subwoofers of the Monitor Audio Vestra series - W10, W12 and W15. All of them are equipped with proprietary speakers with aluminum-magnesium alloy diffusers with a ceramic C-CAM coating with a long-stroke suspension and can develop impressive sound pressure.

The Monitor Audio Vestra W12 and W15 models use a triple suspension for greater control and accuracy of bass notes, in addition, the woofers of these models are distinguished by improved ventilation and the use of larger voice coils wound with high-purity copper.

Subwoofers — Monitor Audio Vestra W10

All Monitor Audio Vestra subwoofers are equipped with built-in D-class amplifiers. The Monitor Audio Vestra W10 uses a 250 W amplifier, and the older Monitor Audio Vestra W12 and W15 - 500 W. The subwoofers' connectivity includes both an unbalanced stereo input on RCA connectors and an LFE input on an RCA connector. The Monitor Audio Vestra subwoofers' anti-resonance enclosures are made of 15 mm thick MDF boards (the front panel is 21 mm) and finished with a modern black or white vinyl film. The Monitor Audio Vestra W10 and W12 models feature a closed-box acoustic design, while the Monitor Audio Vestra W15 subwoofer uses a ported design.
