For its centennial anniversary, Luxman has released a limited edition of the fully balanced audiophile headphone amplifier Luxman P-100 Centennial. The heart of the amp is the patented New Amplified Feedback Engine (LIFES) technology, which significantly improves on the previous ODNF (Only Distortion Negative Feedback) solution. LIFES reduces distortion by half and improves the signal-to-noise ratio by more than 3 dB.
Luxman P-100 Centennial uses the company's LECUA-EX electronically controlled volume control with 200 adjustment steps. With a resolution of 0.5 dB per step, the system prevents channel imbalance and maintains sound clarity even at low volume levels. A three-stage sensitivity selector, LR balance control and volume limiter allow you to accurately calibrate the device to the headphones you are using.
The Luxman P-100 Centennial is based on a circuit design with discrete power supplies for the gain and control circuits. Eight large capacitors, four independent gain blocks and two transformers with an OI core provide reference independent power supply for each channel.
The Luxman P-100 Centennial is equipped with four inputs - an unbalanced 6.35 mm jack, a balanced Pentaconn 4.4 mm, a 4-pin balanced XLR and a 3-pin XLR for BTL use. The Luxman P-100 Centennial is available in Europe at a recommended retail price of 12,990 euros.
