Qlang M4s – Active Floorstanding Speakers from Seefluth Audio

German manufacturer Seefluth Audio has introduced the Qlang M4s active loudspeakers, developed by company founder Michael Seefluth. The model is handcrafted in Germany and designed to operate without an external amplifier, with amplification modules and DSP already built into the cabinets. The DSP is used not only for crossover duties but also to adapt the sound to the acoustic characteristics of a particular room.

The Qlang M4s loudspeakers feature slim solid-wood cabinets measuring just 12 cm deep. An internal matrix structure is intended to reduce cabinet resonances, while the sealed low-frequency section is complemented by a passive radiator. Each speaker is equipped with an 18 cm SEAS mid/bass driver featuring a specially coated paper cone and a Morel tweeter with a silk dome.

Amplification is provided by two-channel Hypex Class D modules. The electronic crossover and frequency-response correction are handled by DSP, allowing the system to be optimised for the acoustics of the listening room. Seefluth Audio also emphasises that component selection took into account not only sound quality, but also durability and long-term serviceability.

A special service is offered for the first 20 pairs of the Founders’ Edition: Michael Seefluth will personally deliver the loudspeakers to customers located within an 800 km radius of the company’s workshop, carry out installation and in-room measurements, and fine-tune the DSP accordingly. The Qlang M4s active loudspeakers are produced in small batches and sold directly to customers without a traditional dealer network. Prices start at €9,900 per pair.
