Marten has unveiled the Marten Coltrane Supreme Extreme loudspeakers – the most advanced speaker system ever created by the Swedish manufacturer. Four towers and specially designed drivers are not all, the system is packed to the brim with innovations. For example, it uses the largest beryllium midrange driver in the history of acoustics, Crystalid drivers for lower midrange, a monocoque carbon fiber cabinet with wood and aluminum reinforcement.
It takes more than 800 hours to make each pair of Coltrane Supreme Extreme speakers. The internal wiring, of course, is done with Jorma Paragon cables. An 1” diamond tweeter, a 3” diamond HF/MF driver, a 7” beryllium MF driver, 4 x 8” Crystalid lower midrange drivers, 5 x 10” aluminum sandwich bass drivers, 10 x 10” aluminum sandwich passive radiators and first-order crossovers – meet the king!
The recommended retail price of the Marten Coltrane Supreme Extreme is €950,000.
