DALI has released the top subwoofer DALI V-16 F – the model has become the culmination of the company's developments in the field of low frequency reproduction. The heart of the sub is the latest 16” driver, which is equipped with a T-shaped ventilated pole piece to ensure symmetrical distribution of magnetic flux through the voice coil. The ventilation hole in this tip expands at both ends, providing turbulent air flow, while two Faraday rings suppress flow modulation.
The voice coil of the bass driver uses a four-layer winding on a ventilated fiberglass former with ultra-low losses and prevention of eddy current accumulation. The woofer diaphragm is made of aluminum - and according to the company, this is the stiffest diaphragm ever installed on a branded drivers. The amplifier used is class D, with a power of 1,500 W (peak power - 2,500 W)
The DALI V-16 F subwoofer cabinet is made of 25 mm thick wood composite panels with 21 mm thick internal braces. Front panel is twice as thick at 50 mm, and the internal bracing supports the bass driver and four 350 mm Continuous Flare ports. The DALI V-16 F active subwoofer will be available in July 2025 for a suggested retail price of $5,999 / €4,999.
