Music First Audio has introduced the new Music First Audio LP 103 LCR phonostage – a highly flexible model, ideal for working with both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges.
The heart of the Music First Audio LP 103 LCR system is a 600-ohm LCR equalizer (inductance-capacitor-resistance) section, operating with unprecedented accuracy of ±0.2 dB across the entire RIAA curve. The gain for MM is adjustable from 30 to 50 dB in 2 dB steps, and an additional gain of 14 dB, 20 dB or 26 dB is provided through MC transformers.
The input impedance for the MM input can be set from 15 kOhm to 100 kOhm, and the capacitance from 10 pF to 470 pF. The load for the MC is adjustable from 25 Ohm to 4 kOhm, so the phono preamplifier can be paired with almost any cartridge. The dual mono circuitry and fully discrete class A topology, combining low-noise J-FET input stages with a bipolar transistor system, guarantee excellent performance characteristics.
The component base is similar - Nichicon Muse KZ and ES electrolytic capacitors, as well as WIMA FKP and MKP film capacitors. In total, the design uses 6 low-noise J-FET transistors, 38 bipolar transistors, several diodes, IC and 4 LEDs.
The Music First Audio LP 103 LCR MM/MC phono preamplifier is now available for sale priced at £7,300.

For its 30th anniversary, AVID has released a new turntable, the AVID Relveo – the device sports a new conical suspension system for better vibration suppression and a dual-belt drive.
The company MSB Technology presented a very interesting solution to the eternal problem that arises after the introduction of an active subwoofer into the path - interference from the power amplifiers built into the bass modules can degrade the signal quality, transmitting noise back into the signal lines. The MSB Technology The Pro Sub Isolator is designed to correct this drawback.
To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Sennheiser has released a limited edition of the Momentum Wireless 4 wireless headphones – Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless “Bond Truluv”, styled after the works of the avant-garde graffiti artist.
Matrix Audio releases new integrated amplifiers with a digital-to-analog converter and full streaming functionality - Matrix Audio MD-1 and MD-1P. The first model, offering 2 x 150 W of output power, is suitable for the "entry" level, the senior device will provide a power of 2 x 300 W.
Following last year's announcement of the active Diva Utopia speakers, larger speakers have now been announced — Focal Diva Mezza Utopia. Equipped with band-pass amplification from Naim Audio, a built-in digital-to-analog converter and a streamer, the model is the "final and only link" for forming a High-End audio system.
