For its 30th anniversary, AVID has released a new turntable, the AVID Relveo – the device sports a new conical suspension system for better vibration suppression and a Twin Belt Drive.
The 7-kilogram high-inertia support platter with weighted edges is machined from aluminum on a CNC machine, and the turntable body is made in a similar way. Rotation stability reaches exceptional levels thanks to a clever system of an external power supply and a high-torque synchronous motor. The power supply, housed in a separate case, uses a latest-generation DSP signal generator and is powered by a powerful network transformer, with each power supply individually calibrated for a specific motor, ensuring precise tuning and reducing unwanted vibrations.
The use of a motor with very high torque eliminates the blurring of the lowest notes and provides crystal clear sound. The record clamp also contributes greatly to this - a screw clamp for records, made from a solid block of aluminum, with a ground point made of stainless steel, conducts vibrations directly through the spindle into the sub-chassis.
The spindle itself, borrowed directly from the flagship Acutus model, is pressed into the chassis for maximum energy transfer. At the top, a fixed tungsten carbide ball mates with a sapphire stone tip, creating a self-centering, maintenance-free precision bearing system. The turntable's suspension is provided by the new AVID Sorbothane conical system - a highly absorbent elastomer that copes with both vertical vibrations and microvibrations.
The AVID Relveo turntable is standardly equipped with the AVID Altus V2 tonearm. The AVID Relveo turntable is already on sale. The complete version with the Altus V2 tonearm costs $10,995 or €8,995. The version without the tonearm costs $8,995 or €7,495.

Music First Audio has introduced the new Music First Audio LP 103 LCR phonostage – a highly flexible model, ideal for working with both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges.
The company MSB Technology presented a very interesting solution to the eternal problem that arises after the introduction of an active subwoofer into the path - interference from the power amplifiers built into the bass modules can degrade the signal quality, transmitting noise back into the signal lines. The MSB Technology The Pro Sub Isolator is designed to correct this drawback.
To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Sennheiser has released a limited edition of the Momentum Wireless 4 wireless headphones – Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless “Bond Truluv”, styled after the works of the avant-garde graffiti artist.
Matrix Audio releases new integrated amplifiers with a digital-to-analog converter and full streaming functionality - Matrix Audio MD-1 and MD-1P. The first model, offering 2 x 150 W of output power, is suitable for the "entry" level, the senior device will provide a power of 2 x 300 W.
Following last year's announcement of the active Diva Utopia speakers, larger speakers have now been announced — Focal Diva Mezza Utopia. Equipped with band-pass amplification from Naim Audio, a built-in digital-to-analog converter and a streamer, the model is the "final and only link" for forming a High-End audio system.
