Volumio Primo Plus - Streaming DAC with Dual-Mono Architecture
Volumio has introduced the Primo Plus (€1,199), a DAC with network streaming functionality. This newcomer evolves from the popular Volumio Primo, offering numerous improvements and greater versatility.
According to the manufacturer, the Primo Plus isn't merely a refined Primo but a completely new development based on two years of research into streamers and DACs. The Volumio Primo Plus uses a Dual-Mono DAC with two ESS ES9039Q2M chips (one per channel) and improved power supply and operational amplifiers ensuring minimal distortion.
A new clock circuit provides virtually jitter-free playback. Like all Volumio products, the Primo Plus is handmade in the heart of Florence, Tuscany.
