Vincent SV-737MK – a New Generation of Hybrid Integrated Amplifier

Vincent has updated its SV-737 hybrid integrated amplifier from the tubeLine series with the introduction of the new SV-737MK. While retaining the core circuitry of its predecessor, the manufacturer has significantly revised the connectivity options. The built-in Wi-Fi module has been replaced by HDMI ARC, allowing a TV to be connected directly to the stereo system, while network playback is now intended to be handled by an external streamer. The amplifier has also gained a Pre Out and a direct input to the power amplifier section.

The latter enables the Vincent SV-737MK to operate in Bypass mode as a power amplifier for the front channels of a home theater system controlled by an AV receiver or processor. For conventional sources, there are five RCA line inputs, two optical and two coaxial S/PDIF digital inputs, as well as Bluetooth. The rear panel also provides Rec Out, Pre Out and Power Control connections. The amplifier supports two pairs of loudspeakers, which can be selected from the front panel.

The hybrid architecture remains close to that of the previous model. The preamplifier stage uses two 6N2P tubes, while a pair of 6N1P tubes operates in the driver and buffer stages. The high-voltage stabilization circuit for the tube section incorporates solutions derived from the SA-T7MK preamplifier and includes an 85A2 voltage-reference tube. The transistor output stage delivers 180 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 300 watts per channel into 4 ohms, with the first 10 watts into an 8-ohm load operating in pure Class A. According to Vincent, the power amplifier section is based on the circuitry of the SV-237MKII but has been optimized for more confident performance with demanding loudspeakers.

The Vincent SV-737MK integrated amplifier also features a defeatable tone control section for bass and treble adjustment. Externally, the model retains the series’ characteristic design, including the circular illuminated window on the front panel through which the tubes can be seen. The new amplifier will be available in black and silver finishes, with a recommended European retail price of €3,299.
