Rega Mercury Preamplifier and Solis Power Amplifier Finally Available

British audio company Rega Research introduced the Mercury preamplifier and Solis power amplifier at Munich's High End show - back in 2024. Now, at last, these newcomers are available.
The Mercury Preamp features both analog and digital inputs served by a high-quality DAC. The Solis stereo power amplifier delivers 168 W per channel into 8 Ohms load. Hand-built to unlock the true potential of Hi-Fi systems, the Mercury achieves exceptionally low noise levels enabling outstanding dynamic range. The power supply features a large toroidal transformer - at 14 kg, the Mercury is no lightweight. Specified frequency response extends from 8 Hz to 28,000 Hz with THD+N of 0.001%.
The Solis Power Amplifier is designed to confidently drive the most demanding loudspeakers, positioned as the ideal partner for the Mercury. The fully balanced "dual-mono" architecture extends to the power supply: each power amplifier channel is fed by a separate toroidal transformer. The UK price is £6,950 each.
