Kanto Audio Expands Tuk and Yu Lines and Introduces Flagship Tuk Grand Speakers

Kanto Audio has introduced the Tuk Grand active speaker system, the most advanced model in the brand’s current catalogue. With this new release, the manufacturer is clearly aiming to move beyond its familiar niche of compact desktop and lifestyle solutions. Tuk Grand builds on the ideas behind the original Tuk platform, but does so in a larger format: the speakers feature an enlarged cabinet, increased internal volume and a reworked acoustic architecture designed for more confident low-frequency reproduction, a larger-scale soundstage and a more mature presentation.

The Kanto Tuk Grand design uses a 6-inch aluminium-cone woofer/midrange driver, paired with a 28 x 35 mm Air Motion Transformer high-frequency driver. A built-in Class D amplifier delivers 160 W RMS, while DSP is responsible for precise sound tuning. The stated frequency range of the new model extends from 40 Hz to 22 kHz. Source connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive support, a USB-C port, an optical input and analogue RCA.

Alongside Tuk Grand, the company also showed the second generation of the Kanto Tuk speakers. The new version retains one of the original model’s key features – the AMT tweeter – but receives an updated DSP profile, a revised cabinet shape and a wider dispersion pattern for the high-frequency driver. According to Kanto, this modernization should make the sound more stable in different placement conditions and reduce its dependence on room characteristics.

The Kanto Yu series has also been updated. The refreshed Yu6 and Yu4 models received new drivers, revised digital tuning and an upgraded amplification platform. The manufacturer says RMS power has increased by around 30% compared with the previous versions. Connectivity has also become more modern: users now get USB-C, Bluetooth, optical and analogue inputs. At the same time, the speakers retain a built-in phono stage, allowing a vinyl turntable to be connected directly.

Kanto emphasizes that, when developing the new line-up, attention was paid not only to technical specifications but also to visual identity. The company is moving away from the idea of speakers that should blend as discreetly as possible into an interior, instead opting for a more expressive design with clean lines, confident proportions and a wider selection of finishes. This approach is intended to underline that the speakers are not just a utilitarian sound source, but a full-fledged element of a modern home audio system.

The updated Yu6 and Yu4 models will be released in autumn 2026, with prices starting at $549.99 and $499.99 respectively.
