Sonoro ORCHESTRA Slim Signature – Compact Speakers with Ribbon Tweeter

Sonoro has expanded its Signature lineup with the ORCHESTRA Slim Signature compact passive speakers, designed for smaller rooms. The model was developed with the involvement of Karl-Heinz Fink and is also optimized for placement close to a wall. Measuring just 180 mm wide, the speakers are 326 mm high and 260 mm deep, allowing them to be placed on stands, cabinets, or shelves.

The ORCHESTRA Slim Signature cabinet uses a multi-layer Constrained Layer Damping construction. The front baffle consists of two layers of HDF, while the remaining cabinet panels are made from two layers of MDF bonded with an elastic damping compound. This construction is intended to reduce unwanted cabinet resonances. Foam plugs for the bass-reflex port are included, allowing the low-frequency response to be adjusted when the speakers are positioned close to a wall.

High frequencies are handled by an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) with a neodymium magnet system and a folded diaphragm with an area of approximately 85 cm². It is mounted in a specially developed waveguide designed to provide controlled dispersion. Below the 2.8 kHz crossover point, a 5.25-inch mid/bass driver is used, featuring a composite cone made from paper and bamboo fiber reinforced with Kevlar. The specified frequency response is 49 Hz to 25 kHz at -6 dB.
