AudioQuest Lone Ranger ZERO-Tech – a Speaker Cable Packed with Engineering Innovations

28.10.2025 20:28 | ~1 minute read

AudioQuest has released another reference speaker cable in the Folk Hero series – the AudioQuest Lone Ranger ZERO-Tech is positioned as a slightly lighter solution than the Brave Heart.

The AudioQuest Lone Ranger ZERO-Tech has an outer diameter of 11.6 mm per pole, compared to 14.1 mm for the Brave Heart. The cable retains the same two-section design and contains approximately one-third more Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductor metal than the company's previous models. Low impedance and a smooth frequency response significantly improve sound quality.

The AudioQuest Lone Ranger ZERO-Tech uses a next-generation polypropylene dielectric, which reduces distortion caused by distributed capacitance. A thick layer of carbon-infused PVC, a graphene coating, and 4% silver drain wires further mitigate high-frequency noise. The proprietary Permanent Molecular Optimization (PMO) process involves controlled loading of dielectric materials, minimizing the burn-in period.

At the heart of AudioQuest Lone Ranger ZERO-Tech is the proprietary ZERO-Tech technology, which minimizes impedance mismatches between the cable and the speaker. AudioQuest Lone Ranger ZERO-Tech speaker cables also feature the proprietary 72-volt Dielectric-Bias System (DBS), which maintains a constant DC voltage across the cable's dielectric.

Connectors are terminated using cold-welded, gas-tight connections using copper terminals. AudioQuest Lone Ranger ZERO-Tech speaker cable is now available with a suggested retail price of €2,649 per 2.5m pair.
