TIDAL x BUGATTI MA1 – Flagship Monoblock Delivering up to 1,500 Watts and Weighing 110 kg

TIDAL has introduced the new TIDAL x BUGATTI MA1 flagship monaural power amplifier, part of the Royale Collection. Positioned as the successor to the Assoluta Monobloc, the new model combines extremely powerful circuitry with a massive mechanical construction. Particular attention has been paid to the power supply: inside are three 1,000 VA toroidal transformers with magnetic shielding and mechanical isolation, while the total capacitance of the power-supply filter reaches 800,000 µF.

The TIDAL x BUGATTI MA1 monoblock delivers 420 watts into an 8-ohm load, 840 watts into 4 ohms and up to 1,500 watts into 2 ohms. The specified frequency response extends from 1 Hz to beyond 250 kHz at the −0.5 dB point. The signal path contains no coupling capacitors or relays, while the input stage uses direct DC coupling. The power transistors are individually selected and measured to within 1%, with low-impedance capacitors positioned close to them to minimise the energy-transfer path.

The amplifier chassis is built from massive aluminium components and reinforced internally with structural bracing designed to suppress mechanical resonances. Protection is handled by TIDAL’s proprietary APM system, which monitors output current, DC offset and other potentially hazardous operating conditions. Soft-start circuitry is also included, while the amplifier’s power can be controlled remotely via Ethernet when used with compatible TIDAL preamplifiers.

The TIDAL x BUGATTI MA1 is available in a variety of finishes, while the top panel features BUGATTI’s distinctive “floating” logo. The amplifier is truly monumental in scale, measuring 69 × 52 × 41 cm and weighing 110 kg. TIDAL has yet to announce the price of its new flagship monoblock.
