Top-7 Newest Turntables – Rating of Summer 2025

How to Choose an LP Record Player Today?

27.07.2025 06:50 | ~4 minutes read

The summer season of 2025 pleased us with a sufficient number of new audio equipment – especially in the turntable market. So, the editors have prepared for you a rating of the seven most interesting models for playing records and enjoying analog sound – as usual, they are sorted in order of increasing cost, so that everyone can find a turntable to suit their taste and wallet.

7. FiiO TT13 BT

Pros – cheap and cheerful

The compact FiiO TT13 BT is an “all-in-one” model, which already includes, in addition to the turntable, an automatic tonearm with a factory-installed Audio-Technica AT-3600LA MM cartridge, an MM phono preamplifier, an ADC and a wireless streamer based on Bluetooth aptX / aptX LL / aptX HD. The latter is of little interest to us (turntables are purchased for the sake of analog sound) - but the use of operational amplifiers JRC5532, electrolytic capacitors and an independent power supply in the path is rarely found in such a price range. As a result, the FiiO TT13 BT clearly sounds "for growth" - noticeably ahead of its price group peers in terms of resolution and dynamics.

6. Pro-Ject Debut PRO S Balanced

Pros - monolithic stage

Another "packed to the brim" vinyl player Pro-Ject Debut PRO S Balanced has a balanced output, is equipped with a proprietary 10-inch S-shaped tonearm (with VTA and azimuth adjustment) with a Pro-Ject Pick it S2 C Black MM pickup with an elliptical-sharpened diamond needle. The platter is made of aluminum and uses a TPE damping ring to dampen vibrations and an aluminum sub-platter made by diamond cutting - the system is made to the highest quality standards. The cherry on the cake is the motor mechanically damped from the chassis. The device sounds to match - powerfully, literally opening the stage in front of the listener.

5. Gold Note T-5

Pros - beautiful sound

Gold Note T-5 will offer sounds with true charm, gloss and beauty - a flurry of emotions literally captures and does not let go during the entire listening. The turntable uses a 15 mm thick glass platter and an inverted bearing - together with the pre-installed Gold Note B-5.2 tonearm and ES-7 cartridge, this guarantees excellent performance characteristics. It is impossible not to mention the anti-resonance chassis made of 23 mm High Density Fiberboard.

Clearaudio Concept Signature

4. Clearaudio Concept Signature

Pros – meticulous and very detailed reproduction

The Clearaudio Concept Signature turntable is based on the developments of the company's older models and provides an easily recognizable signature sound signature – balanced, very precise and devoid of any coloring. The chassis of the turntable is made of MDF with a polymer coating, which additionally works to dampen resonances. The 30 mm support disc is made of synthetic material, and the drive uses the company's favorite scheme - an aluminum sub-disc is rotated via a belt by a DC motor, decoupled from the chassis using an elastic suspension and stabilized in speed by an electronic circuit with a tachometer. Add a steel bearing with a bronze bushing - and here it is, an engineering masterpiece.

MOFI Fender PrecisionDeck

3. MOFI Fender PrecisionDeck

Pros – deep bass, continuous feed

The new MOFI Fender PrecisionDeck is the result of a collaboration with Fender – it’s no wonder that the model literally grabs the stars in terms of rock music reproduction (and doesn’t give up on other genres). The turntable uses the proprietary 10-inch MOFI Ultra tonearm with low-friction ball bearings in the vertical and horizontal planes. The AC motor with a stepped Delrin pulley (works for speed switching) is perfectly damped, and only the lazy didn’t sing the praises of the model’s finish quality.

2. Musical Fidelity M6xTT

Pros – transparent and voluminous

A real monster of sound, the Musical Fidelity M6xTT will offer you a fundamental feed and a grandiose sound stage. The unit was designed by Anthony Michaelson in collaboration with Heinz Lichtenheger – an approach that combines an inert metal mass with non-resonant acrylic and uses a dual-layer chassis with magnetic bearings to isolate the drive system. The 9-inch tonearm is also made from a combination of acrylic and aluminum (resulting in an ultra-low resonance structure), and the motor is equipped with a speed control system powered by a DC generator and decoupled from the chassis via a foam base.

1. EAT C-Dur Concrete

Pros – top-notch turntable

The EAT C-Dur Concrete demonstrates truly reference sound for its price group – guaranteeing record-breaking bass extension and resolution, gorgeous mids and highs, and reference thermal fidelity. The player is equipped with a 10-inch carbon EAT C-Note tonearm, combining the advantages of a single-bearing and gimbal designs. The aluminum support platter (5.2 kg) works through a 0.9 kg sub-platter and an inverted bearing assembly (Teflon, ceramic ball, steel), which itself weighs 1.8 kg. Bravo!
