How to Choose an LP Record Player Today?
The summer season of 2025 pleased us with a sufficient number of new audio equipment – especially in the turntable market. So, the editors have prepared for you a rating of the seven most interesting models for playing records
A little over twenty years ago, the British company Musical Fidelity released its first turntable, the M1. The design of the Musical Fidelity M1, created by the company’s founder Antony Michaelson together with Heinz Lichtenegger from the Austrian company Pro-Ject, literally caught the eye.
The Musical Fidelity M6x TT is a premium vinyl turntable with a dual acrylic chassis, a massive 6.6kg aluminum disc and a 9" tonearm with height and azimuth adjustment.
The lacquered MDF table differs from the rounded corners of most odnoklassniki players, which apparently gave the product its name. It has an engine, a bronze sleeve of a classic, non-inverted bearing, as well as a 9-inch tonearm of straight construction. The Musical Fidelity RoundtableS model is supplied fully configured at the factory, all you have to do is set the recommended downforce value (1.5-2.5 g) for the complete Ortofon 2M-Red cartridge. But if you suddenly want to change the head to another one, it is possible to adjust the height of the tonearm.
