The Yamaha NS-600A loudspeakers feature balanced and precise sound (thanks to the proprietary Harmonious Diaphragm technology) and an impressive finish of the cabinets, reminiscent of the finish of grand pianos. The Yamaha NS-600A uses innovative RS (Resonance Suppression) chambers located at the rear of the tweeter, they guarantee timbre authenticity and effectively suppress resonances arising behind the diffuser. Traditional loudspeakers often rely on dense sound-absorbing materials to compensate for standing waves inside the cabinet - and Yamaha uses sound-absorbing tubes, simultaneously reducing the need for excessive amounts of absorbing materials and providing reference sound dynamics.
The Yamaha NS-600A cabinets were created using laser vibrometers used in the development of musical instruments and finite element methods FEM. The loudspeaker crossover uses audiophile components such as MCap SUPREME Classic capacitors from Mundorf. Yamaha NS-600A uses a proprietary Twisted Flare Port, which optimizes air dispersion at the port outlet, minimizing flow noise.
Yamaha NS-600A acoustics are offered in a black piano lacquer finish. Black protective grilles with magnetic mounts are included. As an option, the manufacturer offers Yamaha SPS-800A branded stands. The recommended retail price of Yamaha NS-600A speakers in Europe is 2,599 euros per pair of loudspeakers, Yamaha SPS-800A stands are offered for 1,399 euros per pair. One “but” that should be taken into account when choosing an amplifier to pair with loudspeakers is that the acoustics have a sensitivity of 85.5 dB, which requires a powerful and stable partner.
