Wave Kinetics has unveiled a black version of its iconic Wave Kinetics NVS Reference turntable. The release of the model is dedicated to the memory of the company's founder and co-designer Jonathan Tinn. The turntable accumulates the latest developments in the audio to achieve the highest sound quality.
The Wave Kinetics NVS Reference Turntable Jonathan Tinn Memorial Edition supports speeds of 33 1/3 and 45 RPM and uses a laboratory grade motor control system in its direct drive system. Speed accuracy is absolutely incredible - to 1 part per 1,000. The high inertia platter is made of a combination of aluminum and mass loaded polymer.
No less interesting is the decoupling system of the turntable from the surface - a separate aluminum (milled from a single large billet) platform is used at the base of which a block of viscoelastic dampers is located, removing unwanted vibrations. The turntable body is also made of aluminum and contains another anti-vibration system, eliminating airborne vibration and vibration generated from motor and other noise.
