SYITREN RM1 – A Transparent CD Player

A fascinating Kickstarter campaign has launched for the SYITREN RM1, a transparent CD player. Housed in an acrylic casing, the device serves as a stylish interior accent - allowing the spinning disc, optical drive, and internal components to remain visible during operation - while delivering reliable CD playback performance.

The RM1 can be placed on a tabletop or wall-mounted using its built-in mounts. It supports standard audio CDs as well as discs containing MP3 and WMA files. An anti-shock system ensures stable playback even amidst accidental vibrations. The unit features an LED display that shows the track number, volume level, and playback progress.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3 wireless support and a wired 3.5mm output for headphones, speakers, or an external audio system. It is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery, which the manufacturer claims provides 6 - 8 hours of playtime; charging via USB-C takes approximately two hours.

Early-bird pricing for the RM1 on Kickstarter starts at $89, compared to the standard retail price of $129. A bundle including the SYITREN N200 wireless speaker is also available for $139.
