Vitavox has announced the Vitavox TriTone horn-loaded speaker – a floor-standing, three-way system with adjustable phase matching for the drivers. This model is an evolution of the renowned Bitone Major speaker system, originally designed for commercial installations and focused on ultra-dynamic performance.

The Vitavox TriTone will be perfect for rock and roll – that's precisely the focus of the developers. The speaker system has undergone significant changes compared to the original, including a switch to 30mm beech plywood for the cabinet construction and the use of a modern, proprietary 15” K-series bass driver (Vitavox K15/40).

The main frequency range, as in other new models, is handled by the T3 system – a high-frequency/midrange module with a Vitavox TR32A compression tweeter (adds one octave of range) and a massive R300W midrange horn with exceptional internal damping. The design is a hybrid horn-bass reflex system, and moving the dispersion horn from the inside to the outside of the cabinet increases its effective volume and optimizes the port geometry.
Vitavox TriTone speakers achieve 102 dB of sensitivity at 15 ohms, making them suitable for use with vacuum tube single-ended amplification. The speakers operate in a frequency range of 50 to 21,000 Hz and utilize the proprietary Vitavox NW500X external crossover. Each speaker weighs 104 kg. Like all Vitavox products, TriTone systems are handcrafted to order.
