Vincent Audio has announced the launch of its updated solidLine 2.0 range of stereo components. The first models in the series are the Vincent SV-600 integrated amplifier and the matching Vincent CD-600 compact disc player. The new products continue the traditions of the original solidLine series, introduced in the late 1990s and based entirely on solid-state circuitry.
The connection with Vincent’s earlier components is emphasised by the design of the enclosures. The front panels of both models are visually divided into three sections, referencing the appearance of the first solidLine products. The components feature full-size Hi-Fi chassis measuring 430 mm wide and are available in black or silver finishes.

At the heart of the new series is the Vincent SV-600, a fully balanced integrated amplifier featuring a differential input stage based on field-effect transistors combined with a common-base circuit. This architecture is designed to deliver a high slew rate, minimal distortion and stable operation even with demanding loudspeakers. The output stage uses 16 high-power transistors.

With an 8-ohm load, the amplifier delivers its first 2 × 10 watts in pure Class A. Its total output power is rated at 2 × 200 watts into 8 ohms and 2 × 306 watts into 4 ohms. The power supply is built around a large toroidal transformer, while the total capacitance of the filtering capacitors reaches 40,000 µF. Maximum power consumption is specified at 820 watts.

For connecting analogue sources, the Vincent SV-600 is equipped with five stereo RCA inputs and one balanced XLR input. Two Main In inputs and a Pre Out output are also provided. The digital section includes an HDMI ARC port, optical and coaxial inputs, while the built-in Bluetooth module enables wireless music streaming from a smartphone, tablet or computer. Two pairs of loudspeakers can be connected to the amplifier simultaneously.

The second component in the solidLine 2.0 series is the Vincent CD-600 CD player. The manufacturer has deliberately focused on high-quality Audio CD playback without overloading the device with networking and streaming functions. The unit uses a centrally mounted Sanyo loading mechanism developed specifically for audio discs, while reading accuracy is controlled by a servo system designed by Vincent.

Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by an ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M chip supporting signals with resolutions of up to 24-bit/192 kHz. The analogue section comprises four independent channel circuits with separate filters, amplification stages and buffer stages. Components from Wima and Nichicon are used throughout the design. In addition to unbalanced RCA outputs, the player offers balanced XLR connectivity, as well as optical and coaxial digital outputs. Optical and coaxial inputs allow the CD-600 to be used as an external DAC for other digital sources.

The Vincent SV-600 amplifier weighs 21.9 kg and measures 430 × 150 × 448 mm, while the Vincent CD-600 player weighs 8.29 kg and measures 430 × 132 × 350 mm. Both models are already available in Europe. The recommended retail price of the Vincent SV-600 integrated amplifier is €3,199, while the Vincent CD-600 CD player is priced at €1,899.
