Vincent SA-32 AE – Anniversary Version of the Hybrid Preamplifier

Vincent Audio has released a special limited-edition version of its SA-32 AE hybrid preamplifier. The model is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Powerline series, whose history began in 1996 with the SA-31, continued with the SA-31 MK, and later with the current SA-32, introduced in 2017. The anniversary version will be produced in a limited run of just 200 units.

The Vincent SA-32 AE preamplifier retains the basic concept of its predecessor but has received a number of notable upgrades. Externally, the unit features a slightly revised design and a larger chassis, which made it possible to expand its functionality. The main update is the digital section: alongside Bluetooth, coaxial and optical inputs, there is now an HDMI ARC port for connecting a TV.

The tube circuitry has also been reworked. While the standard version used four 6N16 tubes, the anniversary edition is fitted with two 12AU7 and two ECC88 tubes. The 12AU7 tubes are located at the beginning of the signal path and are responsible for the characteristic warm presentation, while the ECC88 tubes are used in the tube tone control section as phase splitters.

Special attention has also been paid to the power supply. The new unit is built around an R-Core transformer and uses Wima and Nichicon capacitors. This configuration is intended to provide stable voltage, low ripple, an improved signal-to-noise ratio and lower distortion.

The Vincent SA-32 AE preamplifier will be available in black and silver finishes. The recommended price in Europe is just under 2,000 euros.
