Tidal Piano Classic – an Entry Ticket into the World of Tidal Audio

German company Tidal Audio, long established in the ultra-premium High End segment, has introduced the Piano Classic loudspeakers – a model that symbolically brings the brand back to its roots. Although only limited details about the new product have been revealed so far, its very debut already appears significant for a manufacturer whose reputation was built on an uncompromising approach to audio engineering.

The history of Tidal Audio began in 1999 precisely with the Piano loudspeakers. Since then, the company has grown from a small manufacturer with a single speaker model in its catalog into one of the most respected names in the world of High End. Today, the brand is associated with exceptional build quality, sophisticated engineering solutions, and a signature sound appreciated by connoisseurs of high-end audio around the globe.

The new Tidal Piano Classic is positioned as the junior model in the brand’s lineup, though this description should be understood only within the internal hierarchy of Tidal itself. This is not a move into the mass market, but rather a more accessible interpretation of the company’s philosophy, while preserving the brand’s core values and its characteristic approach to sound.

One of the key features of the Piano Classic is the deliberate отказ from some of the most complex and costly technologies used in Tidal’s higher-end models. The design does not employ diamond or ceramic drivers, extensive stainless-steel elements, or the brand’s signature multi-layer poly-shell cabinets that have become a hallmark of its flagship loudspeakers. Instead, the developers chose a more restrained and purist concept, one that is closer in spirit to the original Piano introduced in 1999.

At the same time, the company emphasizes that the Piano Classic should not be viewed as a simplified version of its higher-end systems. On the contrary, according to the manufacturer, this model embodies all of the experience Tidal Audio has accumulated over a quarter of a century. This applies to the selection of materials, crossover architecture, cabinet construction, and the final voicing of the sound.

According to Tidal, the model fully preserves the brand’s DNA. At the center remain the qualities that have long defined the company’s sonic identity: tonal accuracy, coherence of presentation, and emotional expressiveness. These are precisely the characteristics Tidal has always placed at the forefront, describing its philosophy as a pursuit of creating not just sound, but an emotional response.

Against this backdrop, the Piano Classic stands out as a particularly intriguing premiere. The new model may attract audiophiles who have long admired Tidal Audio products but were not prepared for the cost of its higher-tier systems. Now they have an opportunity to enter the brand’s ecosystem with less radical expense, without giving up the key values that define Tidal.

Technical details, pricing, and launch timing for the Tidal Piano Classic loudspeakers have not yet been announced. Even so, it is already clear that this is not just another new addition to the company’s catalog, but an important and highly symbolic product – an attempt to return to the brand’s original idea, reinterpreted through 25 years of experience in creating world-class loudspeakers.
