Klipsch and OJAS Unveil KO-R2 Loudspeakers

Klipsch has once again partnered with Devon Turnbull, founder of OJAS, to introduce the new Klipsch x OJAS KO-R2 horn-loaded loudspeaker. The model is making its debut at Milan Design Week, with production limited to just 600 pairs worldwide.

The KO-R2 continues the collaboration between Klipsch and Turnbull following the release of the KO-R1 in 2024. Through April 26, private listening sessions are being held at Fondazione Luigi Rovati, organized in collaboration with USM Modular Furniture and Karimoku. Visitors are invited to experience the new model ahead of its official launch scheduled for June.

The Klipsch x OJAS KO-R2 is a two-way loudspeaker featuring a horn-loaded high-frequency section. Each unit is handcrafted at Klipsch’s facility in Hope, Arkansas. The enclosure is made from Baltic birch, while the overall design reflects OJAS’ signature minimalist aesthetic.

At the heart of the design is the OJAS 1506 multi-sector horn, constructed from cast aluminum. Its geometry draws inspiration from classic designs by Western Electric and Altec, including the throat geometry of the Western Electric 25A and the visual character of Altec’s multicellular horns. This architecture is engineered to deliver even sound dispersion both horizontally and vertically.

The KO-R2 is equipped with a compression driver, anodized aluminum connectors, vibration-damping rubber feet, and a five-step high-frequency attenuator for precise tuning to the listening environment. A laser-engraved metal badge further emphasizes the model’s collectible nature.

The limited-edition Klipsch x OJAS KO-R2 will be available in two finishes: red oak veneer and a silver hammered finish paired with a matte black powder-coated horn. Pricing has not yet been announced.
