The 4.5-way Sonus Faber Amati Supreme loudspreakers are presented – the iconic model of the Italian company now uses the conceptual solutions used in the flagship Sonus Faber Suprema system.
The Sonus Faber Amati Supreme acoustic systems are equipped with five drivers in a 4.5-way configuration. A module with a tweeter with a diameter of 38 mm and a super tweeter of 20 mm serves the high-frequency range. The mid-frequency region is entrusted to the Camelia driver with a diameter of 165 mm of our own design. The bass is formed by two LF drivers with a diameter of 220 mm. The crossover divides the areas of responsibility of the drivers at frequencies of 230 Hz, 300 Hz, 1.8 kHz and 5.6 kHz. The speakers are mounted on a milled aluminum panel and placed in a cork structure that regulates air flow and resonances. The tweeters and midrange driver operate in a closed cabinet, and the bass section uses the proprietary Stealth Ultraflex technology - a hidden phase inverter on the rear panel.
Visually, the cabinet of the model has retained continuity, but Sonus faber Amati Supreme uses a Y-shaped glass element on the top wall of the case, through which the midrange/high-frequency crossover filter is visible. Also, two new cabinet finishes are presented for the new model - Sabbia Oro and Terra Rossa.
Sonus faber Amati Supreme acoustic systems allow power input from 50 to 600 W, and the sensitivity of the model is 91 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) - this means that the acoustics can be used not only with solid-state amplifiers, but also with tube amps (offers approx. 2 x 50 W of power). The rear panel of the speakers features a mid-high and mid-low range adjustment system, allowing you to adjust the sound to the acoustic characteristics of the room.
Sonus faber Amati Supreme speakers will go on sale in Europe this month of 2025 at a retail price of 78,000 euros.
