Roksan Caspian Streaming Preamplifier and Roksan Caspian Power Amplifier

Audiophile brand Roksan has expanded its Caspian Series 4G line by introducing the Roksan Caspian Streaming preamplifier with network streaming functionality and the Roksan Caspian stereo power amplifier. The new models complement the two Caspian 4G integrated amplifiers released in 2024.

The Caspian Streaming preamplifier is built on the proven BluOS platform and supports popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz, as well as a wide range of music streaming options and internet radio. The unit can also play music from NAS servers via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, supporting digital audio streams in PCM format up to 24-bit / 192 kHz (DSD playback is unfortunately not supported). Roon Ready certification is also included.

Roksan Caspian Streaming features a fully balanced analogue preamplifier design, employing several independent power supplies to ensure clean current delivery with minimal noise. A switchable grounding input design further helps to minimise crosstalk between connected components.

In addition, the new model incorporates Roksan’s proprietary “Rapture” DAC topology – a discrete dual-channel, differential current design. The rear panel offers a comprehensive set of analogue and digital inputs, including balanced XLR inputs, optical and coaxial digital ports. There is also an HDMI ARC input for connection to a television or AV system, as well as a built-in MM/MC phono stage for vinyl turntables.

The BluOS app allows full control of all sources and streaming playback, while Roksan also offers the MaestroUnite app for initial setup and fine sound tuning according to room acoustics and listener preferences via the preamplifier’s DSP settings. Four options are available – Intelligent Tone, Intelligent Boundary, Intelligent Speaker and Intelligent Phono – designed to optimise Caspian’s sound depending on speaker placement and other parameters.

The Roksan Caspian stereo power amplifier delivers 105 watts per channel into an 8-ohm load, or 200 watts into 4 ohms. It utilises Roksan’s advanced Euphoria Class A/B amplification technology. Separate power supplies are used for the voltage and current amplification stages, providing increased voltage headroom and reduced distortion.

A minimalist OLED display on the front panel shows key information such as source icons and volume level, illuminated by orange LEDs – similar to the design used in the Attessa Streaming Amplifier.

A single control knob on the Roksan Caspian Streaming is used for both volume adjustment and source selection. The hybrid digital-analogue volume control helps reduce crosstalk and distortion while ensuring stable channel balance at all settings.

Both new Caspian 4G Series models feature extruded heatsinks with chamfered, precision-machined edges and custom-designed internal antennas. The units are hand-assembled at the Monitor Audio Group headquarters in Essex, United Kingdom. The recommended retail price of the Roksan Caspian Streaming network preamplifier in Europe is €4,000. The Roksan Caspian stereo power amplifier is priced at €3,500.
