Swiss company Revox has introduced the Studiomaster CD100 CD player, a digital source designed for the brand’s Studiomaster M500 and M300 systems. The new model is intended to operate within the Revox Multiuser 3.0 ecosystem and supports CD-DA and CD-R disc playback.
The Revox CD100 connects to the M500 or M300 components via a coaxial digital interface, while a separate data cable is used to transmit control commands. The package includes the Control Port CD Player Connection Cable, enabling plug-and-play installation via the USB port of the Studiomaster system and the RS232 input on the player itself.
Once connected, the system automatically recognizes the new source and renames it in the interface as “CD player.” Playback data and the current disc status can be displayed both in the Revox Multiuser app and on the front-panel displays of compatible devices. Users can see standard status messages such as playback, pause, stop, no disc, or read error.

Revox emphasizes that the CD100 is integrated into the system not merely as an external transport, but as a fully controllable source. When the CD player is selected, it powers on automatically; when the user switches to another source, it powers off. If the coaxial input on the M500 or M300 is already occupied, the optical or analog inputs can be configured manually.
The Revox CD100 can be controlled in several ways: using the buttons on the front panel, via the Revox Multiuser mobile app, or through Revox control systems when paired with the M500 or M300. Backward compatibility with the Joy S119 and Joy S120 MKII network receivers via the CD-Link interface has also been confirmed.

Inside the Revox Studiomaster CD100 is a Burr-Brown PCM1796 DAC. Coaxial and optical digital outputs are provided for connection. The specifications list a frequency response of 5 Hz to 20 kHz, total harmonic distortion plus noise below 0.0018% at the digital output and below 0.0019% at the analog output. The signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 110 dB at 1 kHz. The player measures 88 × 200 × 342 mm and weighs 3 kg. The model is available in three finishes: black, white, and silver. The standard package includes a power cable, control cable, and coaxial cable.
In addition to the CD100 player itself, Revox also offers the Control Port CD Player cable separately. It is intended for owners of Revox Joy S22 CD players and allows them to connect these units to Studiomaster M500 and M300 systems for further integration into the Multiuser 3.0 network. The Revox Studiomaster CD100 is priced at €1,890, while the optional Control Port CD Player cable is priced at €490.
