Noble Audio has announced the release of the extremely expensive Noble Audio Kronos reference in-ear headphones – a limited edition of the model will hit the market this month at a price of $4,500.
Such a high price for the Noble Audio Kronos is due exclusively to the high-quality design – each earphone uses a hybrid 9-driver circuit: two speakers (10 mm + 7 mm) for low frequencies, two balanced armature drivers for mid frequencies, two more for high frequencies and two electrostatic (Sonion EST) for ultra-high frequencies, plus a dual bone conduction membrane module for natural delivery of the lower mids. The system is controlled by a six-way crossover, and the housings of the model are machined from titanium and decorated with Damascus steel plates.
Noble Audio Kronos have a sensitivity of 102 dB at 1 kHz, an impedance of 8.6 ohms and an extended frequency response range of up to 70,000 Hz.
The kit includes a proprietary 8-core cable made of palladium platinum silver and single-core silver wire with a 4.4 mm balanced connector; 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors are compatible with regular replacement cables. Each pair of headphones is hand-assembled in the USA.
