Musical Fidelity has introduced the specialized Nu-Vista Ultra Equipment Rack, designed to accommodate components from the flagship Nu-Vista series. It is a heavy modular structure created for installing large and massive audio equipment. The main emphasis is placed on high mechanical stability, reducing the impact of vibrations, and reliably supporting heavy devices.

The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista Ultra rack was engineered with serious loads in mind and is primarily aimed at owners of components from the company’s top Nu-Vista range, although there are, of course, no restrictions on using it with equipment from other brands. The construction itself clearly shows that the rack is intended for large and heavy components. The four-shelf version has a net weight of around 300 kilograms. The manufacturer explains this mass by the use of massive stainless steel columns and shelves made of thick MDF panels. The columns have a diameter of 60 mm, while the shelves are 40 mm thick.

The engineers paid particular attention to combating parasitic vibrations and resonances. Both the materials and the overall architecture of the rack were chosen to reduce mechanical воздействие on the installed components. This approach is intended to promote more stable operation of the audio equipment and, as a result, have a positive effect on sound quality. Each shelf level is rated for loads of up to 150 kilograms, so installing heavy power amplifiers or other massive components presents no difficulty.

In addition to the standard version, Musical Fidelity also offers a more flexible “à la carte” configuration option. The user can independently choose the required dimensions, the height of the structure, and the number of levels depending on their system and room requirements. Since the rack has a modular design, it can later be expanded by adding new sections if needed. According to the manufacturer, the top shelf, measuring 130 × 65 cm, is particularly well suited for accommodating a vinyl turntable.

When choosing where to install the rack, it is important to consider not only its dimensions but also its substantial weight. The structure itself already weighs 300 kilograms, and together with heavy power amplifiers and other components, the load on the floor becomes very significant. For this reason, such a rack ideally requires a solid base, for example a concrete floor or a high-quality rigid screed capable of supporting this kind of weight without introducing additional vibrations.
In Europe, the recommended retail price of the basic version of the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista Ultra rack is 11,990 euros. Custom “à la carte” configurations start at 3,847 euros.
