Rogue Audio M250 Ultra – Flagship Tube Monoblock Rated at 250 Watts

American company Rogue Audio has announced its flagship monophonic power amplifier, the M250 Ultra. The new model is aimed at listeners who expect tube amplification to deliver not only its characteristic fluidity and expressiveness, but also a truly impressive reserve of power. According to the manufacturer, the monoblock is capable of delivering up to 250 watts while combining substantial dynamic authority with precise reproduction of subtle musical detail.

Rogue Audio itself describes the M250 Ultra as one of the most successful and ambitious developments in the brand’s history. The company emphasizes the amplifier’s ability to drive even demanding loudspeakers with confidence, maintaining control, scale, and a sense of unrestricted energy. At the same time, the model is said to preserve fine detail and reveal the most delicate nuances in a recording.

The Rogue Audio M250 Ultra is built around an all-tube circuit design engineered for wide bandwidth, high dynamic headroom, and very low distortion. Particular attention has been paid to the high-capacity linear power supply, which is intended to ensure stable operation during signal peaks and rapid transient passages, including conditions that exceed the nominal power rating.

Visually, the monoblock also reinforces its flagship status. The unit features front and side panels machined from aluminum using CNC equipment. This approach contributes not only to a solid and premium appearance, but also to an overall sense of structural substance. Completing the picture are massive transformers and a carefully selected component set appropriate for Rogue Audio’s top-tier model.

One of the M250 Ultra’s important features is the ability to switch between triode and ultralinear operating modes. Adjustment is handled by means of an analog meter and separate bias controls, making tube setup noticeably easier even for users without extensive experience with tube equipment. The rear panel includes both balanced and unbalanced inputs, along with Cardas speaker binding posts for connecting 4- and 8-ohm loudspeakers.

The company has not yet disclosed pricing or launch timing. Even so, the published specifications already make it clear that the Rogue Audio M250 Ultra is positioned as a heavy-duty, powerful, and thoroughly uncompromising monoblock. Based on the available information, the new model is aimed at the upper end of the High End market and intended for use in truly serious audio systems.
