Monitor Audio Bronze 7G – the Seventh Generation of Popular Acoustics

23.07.2025 06:11 | ~2 minutes read

The Monitor Audio company has provided the seventh generation of the Bronze series - Bronze 7G, which includes five models of acoustic systems. Let us remind you that the first Monitor Audio Bronze loudspeakers entered the market in 1999.

The Monitor Audio Bronze 7G model range now includes bookshelf and floorstanding acoustic systems, a central channel speaker, a wall-mounted LCR model and an Atmos module (there is no subwoofer – it is recommended to choose a suitable one from the Vestra brand series).

Tweeters (as well as other drivers) Monitor Audio Bronze 7G are made using the latest version of C-CAM technology, in which the diffuser made of aluminum-magnesium alloy is covered with a ceramic layer several tens of microns thick. This solution makes it both rigid and inert. In addition, the tweeter waveguide has been redesigned, which made it possible to reduce the frequency of the crossover of the frequency ranges of the speakers and expand the radiation directionality.

The woofers of the Bronze 7G series loudspeakers received new suspensions, centering washers and voice coils increased in diameter by almost 15%, which radically reduced distortion and increased power. The acoustic design at low frequencies uses second-generation HiVe (High Velocity) phase inverter ports made of thermoplastic polymer, located on the rear wall of the cabinets.

The crossover filters have also been upgraded. The front panels of the cabinets are now made of plywood, and the drivers are no longer traditionally fixed to them, but pulled to the rear walls with long bolts. Fastening with a “through bolt” significantly increases the rigidity of the entire structure.

The finish of the Monitor Audio Bronze 7G speakers is matte vinyl film in black, white and walnut veneer.

Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT Evo — the Evolution of Iconic Speakers

Vandersteen Audio has introduced an upgrade of the famous Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT acoustic systems — the new speakers are called Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT Evo. Traditionally for the company, a scheme with active subwoofer sections in each speaker is used here. The acoustics has a stable impedance of 8 Ohms, but a rather low sensitivity of 87 dB — so, for operation, an amplification of 40 to 200 W is required.
