Pro-Ject E1.2 – a New Turntable for 329 Euros
Pro-Ject Audio Systems has released another plug-n-play turntable – the Pro-Ject E1.2. The model comes with a factory-installed tonearm, MM cartridge and dust cover. In addition, the buyer can choose one of three (black, white walnut) finishes – and all this for 329 euros retail.
Pro-Ject E1.2 is equipped with a cast aluminum platter weighing 730 grams. The tonearm is made according to the scheme with a rigid gimbal suspension and high-quality bearings, the tonearm shell is reinforced with carbon fiber. The new Pick it MM E MM cartridge with a lightweight neodymium magnet and a conical diamond stylus is the icing on the cake.
The Pro-Ject E1.2 chassis is CNC machined from a composite material with no cavities to prevent unwanted resonances. The turntable supports rotation speeds of 33 1/3 and 45 rpm.
