Lumin has introduced the Lumin U2x network transport – an upgrade of the well-known Lumin U2 model. The device uses an external power supply, has ports for connecting an external clock generator and an isolated USB output for transmitting an audio stream to a DAC.
The housings of the streamer itself and the external power supply are made using CNC technology from a solid aluminum billet. Lumin U2x is equipped with an advanced synchronization system with inputs and outputs for a 10 MHz clock signal. Two 10 MHz ports provide flexibility in synchronizing several digital audio devices and allow you to build a system with a master clock, in which one device sets the timing for all the others.
The external linear power supply of Lumin U2x uses a pair of toroidal transformers and a low-noise linear stabilizer. The model supports streams up to DSD512 and PCM 32/768. Not forgotten is the fiber optic network connection module and Dual-Network interface with built-in network switch. The cherry on the cake is the volume control function based on Leedh Processing.
Information about the timing of the new product's appearance on sale and the recommended retail price will appear soon.
