Cyrus Audio's calling card has always been "half-size" audio components - half the width of standard equipment. Well, the ice has broken - the company has announced the launch of a line of standard-width components, Cyrus Audio 80. The new 80 series of full-size components from Cyrus Audio will include three models - the Cyrus Audio 80 AMP integrated amplifier, the Cyrus Audio 80 PRE preamplifier and the Cyrus Audio 80 PWR stereo power amplifier. One of the key advantages of the new form factor is the ability to use larger and more reliable internal power supplies. So, getting rid of external power supplies, which complicated the switching.
All Cyrus Audio 80 models operate in class AB. The power amplifier offers 2 x 200 W of power and supports bridged mode, in which it reaches 300 W of power. The integrated and preamplifiers will be equipped with the BluOS network platform from the Bluesound brand, which includes an ergonomic interface and built-in clients for streaming services TIDAL, Qobuz and Spotify, as well as a Roon Ready certificate. The MM/MC phono preamplifier is not forgotten either.
The Cyrus Audio 80 series models are scheduled to appear in November 2025. Recommended retail prices are expected to range from £5,000 to £6,000 per component.
