British company Exposure Electronics has introduced its flagship preamplifier, the Exposure 5510 Preamp. Designed for serious stereo audio systems, the model emphasizes engineering, ease of use, and thoughtful connectivity, rather than flashy interface solutions, touchscreens, or apps.
The Exposure 5510 Preamplifier features a low-noise power supply based on a custom-designed toroidal transformer with integrated shielding. The manufacturer also utilizes a 99-step relay-controlled volume control, designed to ensure precise channel matching and predictable signal level changes.

The preamplifier's connectivity includes six analog line inputs, making it a convenient control center for multi-source systems. For connecting to power amplifiers, the Exposure 5510 Preamp features both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, allowing it to be integrated into a wide range of audio systems.
One of the key features of this new product is its modular design. This preamplifier allows you to select only the options truly needed for a specific system. For connecting turntables, phono preamplifier modules for MM/MC cartridges and optical cartridges from DS Audio are available, while a separate DAC board is available for digital sources.

The Exposure 5510 Preamplifier's aluminum enclosure is designed to reduce resonance and protect sensitive circuitry from electromagnetic interference. Its exterior is in keeping with Exposure's understated style: without visual ostentation, but with the recognizable appearance of a serious hi-fi component.

The Exposure 5510 Preamplifier is now available. The recommended retail price in the UK is £3,500. Additional modules are available separately: the MM/MC phono preamplifier costs £420, the DS Audio phono preamplifier costs £500, and the DAC board with optical and coaxial inputs costs £650.
