The Greek company Echo Diastasis has released a new phono preamplifier Echo Diastasis PH 79 Reference – based on original circuit design solutions, the development of which lasted for many years. The device does not have global feedback and is implemented in the “dual mono” scheme.
In passive implementations of the equalization curve, additional amplification is required to compensate for losses in passive elements, which leads to an increase in distortion. In the Echo Diastasis PH-79 Reference, the RIAA curve is implemented with two active cascades that do not use global feedback. In active implementations, the gain at a given frequency is equal to the required one and no more.
The ability to separately adjust the RIAA provides the Echo Diastasis PH 79 Reference, according to the company, with more accurate sound. The two amplification cascades are followed by a buffer cascade, capable of withstanding even the most difficult loads. The phono preamplifier power supply uses specially designed E-core transformers to achieve the highest possible suppression of radio frequency interference from the mains power supply.
The circuit uses only audiophile-grade components - specially selected by the company's specialists, during which four out of five components are rejected.
