Cyrus Audio has officially unveiled the Cyrus 40 PPA phono preamplifier – the model has been previously demonstrated at exhibitions and is now available for sale at a suggested retail price of €2,499 or $2,899.
Cyrus engineers have completely redesigned the internal circuitry of the 40 PPA phono preamplifier. A new six-layer printed circuit board (PCB) design is designed to reduce interference by isolating key signal paths to reduce noise to near zero. A new power supply reduces noise by 20% compared to its predecessor, the Classic PHONO. Gain control has become more precise and is now adjustable in 5 dB steps. Key features of the device:
– adjustable MC inputs for gain, load and capacitance;
– distortion filter from warped records (warp filter);
– ground lift switch.
The sound quality of the Cyrus 40 PPA can be improved – the device is compatible with the external proprietary power supply Cyrus 40 PSU.
Most of the Cyrus 40 PPA settings, including input parameter adjustments, are now accessible via the remote control and are displayed on the information display (e.g. stereo level indicators). The Cyrus 40 PPA phono preamplifier supports the connection of up to four cartridges simultaneously, with the ability to work with both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges. Balanced XLR and RCA outputs are available for connection to an amplifier.

European Audio Team (EAT) has released a new EAT F-Dur turntable, which is in many ways an upgrade of the well-known Forte S model. The new turntable weighs a solid 44 kg and sports aluminum anti-vibration supports with TPE damping.
Moondrop has released the Moondrop Horizon headphones – the new product is equipped (unlike previous planar models) with a dynamic ULT driver with a diameter of 50 mm, an inclined system arrangement and a dual-magnet design.
Moondrop has introduced new isodynamic headphones Moondrop Para 2. The use of a very large isodynamic driver with a diameter of 100 mm with FDT (Full-Drive Technology) and an ultra-thin 1.2 µm membrane etched from pure silver allowed to create a very impressive model.
Music First Audio has introduced the new Music First Audio LP 103 LCR phonostage – a highly flexible model, ideal for working with both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges.
For its 30th anniversary, AVID has released a new turntable, the AVID Relveo – the device sports a new conical suspension system for better vibration suppression and a dual-belt drive.
