Bowers & Wilkins has introduced what it calls the best bookshelf loudspeaker system in the 700 Series – the Bowers & Wilkins 707 Prestige Edition. The new model is not a radical departure from previous speakers in the range, but it incorporates more technologies borrowed from such successful loudspeakers as the 705 S3 Signature and the 800 Series.

The original Bowers & Wilkins 707 S3 bookshelf speaker was unveiled in 2022 together with the rest of the third-generation 700 Series lineup. The Prestige Edition follows the same concept: it is a two-way bass-reflex speaker featuring a 25 mm carbon dome tweeter, a 130 mm mid/bass driver with a Continuum cone, and a curved front baffle. However, the upgrades are not limited to the new exclusive finish.

In the Bowers & Wilkins 707 Prestige Edition, the tweeter grille has been updated, along with low-loss speaker terminals. To further live up to its name, the speaker comes in an exclusive Santos Gloss high-gloss finish. This glossy look is achieved using no fewer than 12 layers of paint and lacquer, and the design is completed by an equally shiny model name plaque on the rear panel of the cabinet, confirming its “special status.”

The Bowers & Wilkins 707 Prestige Edition loudspeakers have already gone on sale in Europe at a price slightly higher than the original model – €1,750 per pair.
