Børresen has announced significant changes to its range of loudspeakers - the new Børresen T series of loudspeakers, consisting of three models of different sizes (T1, T3 and T5) and three upgraded SSE (Silver Supreme Edition) versions, will replace the Børresen 0 series in the company's product range.
The Børresen T series loudspeakers are largely based on the developments of the top and extremely expensive Børresen M acoustics. The T series currently includes the Børresen T1 bookshelf speaker and the T3 and T5 floorstanding speakers. All models, as mentioned, are offered in two versions - standard and Silver Supreme Edition.
The Børresen T1, T3 and T5 models are equipped with cryogenically treated copper pole rings and Darkz T2 resonance control devices. The T1, T3 and T5 SSE (Silver Supreme Edition) versions feature upgraded cryogenically treated silver pole rings for even lower inductance, titanium driver baskets and more advanced Darkz T2s resonance control devices.
Børresen has replaced the traditional iron core design of the dynamic driver with four neodymium (N52) rings in a patented mirror-image arrangement, which improves voice coil sensitivity. The Børresen T1, T3 and T5 models feature copper pole rings that are resistant to flux variations, while the Silver Supreme Edition models use silver pole rings for even greater conductivity, further improving midrange resolution and transparency.
The 5” drivers in the SSE version feature titanium baskets for exceptional rigidity and damping. The sound of the T3 and T5 speakers can be further improved by using room correction with the Aavik active crossover. The Børresen T-series loudspeakers are expected to be available in Europe soon. Recommended retail prices:
Børresen T1 / T1 SSE – 35,000 / 50,000 EUR
Børresen T3 / T3 SSE – 65,000 / 100,000 EUR
Børresen T5 / T5 SSE – 130,000 / 200,000 EUR

German company T+A has introduced a stylish integrated amplifier T+A Symphonia with arrows indicators of the gain level. The model offers a full set of analog and digital inputs, is equipped with a built-in digital-to-analog converter, a full-fledged network streamer and has a built-in phono preamplifier.
Serbian company Dayens has released an ascetic stereo power amplifier Dayens Ecstasy IV Slim – the model uses output stages on two pairs of Japanese transistors and provides (despite the compact slim case) 110 W per channel when working on loudspeakers with an impedance of 8 Ohms (2 x 160 W at 4 Ohms).
Cayin has released an update to its well-known integrated amplifier model – the Cayin MT-35 MK3. In addition to three RCA inputs, the amp received a wireless streaming module Bluetooth (AAC, aptX HD and LDAC) with a fairly powerful built-in digital-to-analog converter based on the ES9018K2M Sabre32 chip.
Ortofon has released a reimagined modern version of the iconic MC A90 cartridge – meet the Ortofon MC 90X! The Ortofon MC 90X uses the proprietary Replicant 100 diamond – with a thin and light profile and a large contact surface, it is designed to be as close as possible to the cutting stylus of the machine used to form the groove in the record. The special shape of the diamond, a special polishing process and the use of a boron cantilever guarantee transparency and precision of sound.
The full premiere of the Ypsilon Electronics PST 100 Anniversary Edition preamplifier will take place at Audio Show Deluxe on March 22-23, 2025, Whittlebury Park Melbourne room, at which time the full technical specifications of the device will be available. But the curtain of secrecy has already been lifted - so, the new preamplifier, released for the 30th anniversary of the company, is a further development of the SE model.
