Bärbox B.01 – Speakers in Solid Wood Cabinets

06.07.2025 05:57 | ~1 minute read

The German company Bärbox has released new acoustic systems Bärbox B.01 – slender two-way floor-standing loudspeakers are designed in solid wood cases and operate in the frequency range from 38 to 20,000 Hz (at 87 dB sensitivity and 4 Ohm impedance). The downward-facing phase inverter port allows for maximum flexibility in the placement of the speakers in the listening room.

The proprietary horn waveguide for the tweeter, cut into the front panel of the speakers, significantly increases the resolution. The midrange/low-frequency driver with a diffuser made of natural wood provides rich and powerful sound – with rather modest dimensions of the speaker case (100 x 24 x 24 cm), the input power reaches 100 W.

The wooden slats on the front panel not only perform a protective function, but are also part of the very effective design of the speakers. Each piece of the case is hand sanded and oiled to highlight the natural grain of the wood.
