12.05.2025 06:45 | ~2 minutes read

Bang & Olufsen has introduced the third generation of its Beosound A1 portable wireless loudspeaker. The new product has retained the 360-degree sound pattern and aluminum body. The spectacular design, which is offered in three finishes: natural aluminum, honey tone and eucalyptus green, literally attracts the eye.

The Beosound A1 3rd Gen active portable speaker uses Bluetooth version 5.1, but now supports the more advanced aptX Adaptive codec. The operating time on a single battery charge has been increased to 24 hours. It is also claimed that the bass has increased by 2 dB compared to the second-generation speaker, while maintaining the same compact dimensions. The company's engineers managed to fit a noticeably larger bass speaker and two 30-watt amplifiers operating in class D into a case of the same size.

The Beosound A1 3rd Gen wireless speaker has an IP67 dust and moisture protection class. In addition, the speaker is capable of playing music with a direct USB connection - the delivery set includes a USB-C - USB-C cable in a fabric braid. There is no Amazon Alexa voice control here, but the model supports the creation of stereo pairs between speakers of different generations. The standard service life of the Beosound A1 3rd Gen is 10 years - we have before us the world's first Bluetooth speaker to receive a Cradle to Cradle Bronze certificate. The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 3rd generation wireless audio system went on sale in Europe at a recommended retail price of 349 euros.
