Audio Group Denmark has introduced the Aavik U-301 Unity – a new High End all-in-one amplifier. The unit combines a streamer, DAC, preamplifier stage and power amplifier in a single chassis, offering a ready-made centrepiece for a modern stereo system for those who want to reduce the number of components, cables and external connections without giving up a serious level of sound quality.
The model develops the ideas behind the Aavik U-300 integrated amplifier, released in 2015, but significantly expands its functionality. It is no longer just an amplifier, but a universal digital and analogue platform designed to serve as the main component of an audio system. This approach is especially relevant in the upper segment of the market, where more and more users want a neat installation without a bulky rack of separate components.

The concept of the Aavik U-301 Unity is built around a short and controlled signal path. When the streamer, DAC, preamplifier and power amplifier are housed inside one unit, the developers can more precisely match the stages, power supply and internal wiring. According to Aavik, this should help reduce noise, preserve dynamics, improve timing accuracy and maintain the overall musical coherence of the system.
The amplifier section is based on the Pascal Class D platform with high-speed UMAC modulation, related to the solutions used in the Aavik I-x88 series. The claimed output power is 2 × 300 W into 8 ohms and 2 × 600 W into 4 ohms, so the U-301 Unity is designed to work with fairly demanding floorstanding loudspeakers. The manufacturer also highlights low output impedance, high efficiency, low switching noise and confident driver control when handling complex musical material.

Special attention has been paid to the power supply: instead of a traditional linear design, the unit uses a switching power supply operating in power-factor-corrected resonant mode. This circuit is intended to reduce high-frequency noise, create smoother switching processes and respond more quickly to changes in load. When necessary, the power supply can increase its operating frequency to provide the amplifier with peak current during dynamic passages.

The digital section makes the U-301 Unity a fully fledged hub for modern sources. The coaxial S/PDIF and optical inputs accept PCM up to 24-bit / 192 kHz and MQA, while the USB UAC 2.0 port supports PCM up to 32-bit / 384 kHz, MQA, DSD64 and DSD128. The streaming section operates via Ethernet and is controlled through the AGD Streaming App for iPad: TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, vTuner internet radio, local servers, NAS, USB drives and multiroom playback with compatible Audio Group Denmark devices are supported. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not listed in the published specifications.

The preamplifier stage features an RCA output with a maximum level of 7.5 V RMS, volume control in 76 steps of 1 dB, and claimed distortion for the line stage of less than 0.005% at 1 kHz with a 1 V input signal. The maximum analogue input level is 4.5 V RMS, while input impedance is 10 kOhm; a built-in phono stage is not specified. The chassis combines an aluminium frame, integrated cooling, a large display, a substantial control knob and wood-laminate panels. Ansuz Darkz feet are used for vibration control, while Ansuz Gold Anti-Aerial Resonance Coil technology is applied near the speaker terminals to suppress radio-frequency interference. The amplifier measures 43 × 10.8 × 41.8 cm and weighs 10.5 kg. The recommended retail price of the Aavik U-301 Unity is $17,000 or €15,000, with sales expected to begin in October 2026.
