By the end of the year, the audio market had become a bustling sea – and, of course, the biggest movement was in the speaker market. So, the editors have studied the fastest-growing sector and carefully selected for you eight of the latest speakers in completely different price categories, from Hi-Fi to entry-level high-end, and from advanced high-end to ultra high-end. Welcome to the parade of new loudspeakers.

Pros – Open and detailed presentation
These new 2.5-way speakers feature a 1-inch C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with a UD waveguide and 6-inch C-CAM main drivers. However, with 88 dB sensitivity, the amplification requirements can seem significant. The gamble is worth it – the new Bronze series feels not just reimagined, but practically redesigned (even the crossover and bass reflex have been redesigned), and the brand's "transparent design philosophy" is fully operational – the speakers' sound is surprisingly lively and natural.

Pros – Deep bass, three-dimensional soundstage
The new Acoustic Energy AE320² speakers operate from 30 Hz and offer the perfect combination of 6 ohm impedance and 92 dB sensitivity. Drivers with paper and coconut fiber cones (developed based on research from the CORINIUM project), a new soft-dome tweeter, and a thin-walled (18 mm) bitumen-reinforced MDF enclosure equipped with a rear-mounted slotted bass reflex port—everything here is excellent. The sound is also excellent—open, with excellent bass and genuine three-dimensionality.

Pros – Muscular presentation
With 88.4 dB sensitivity and 4 ohms impedance, with a minimum of 3 ohms, these speakers can be a real challenge for an amplifier. However, with the right partner, you'll be surprised by the rich, full-bodied sound, as well as the timbral precision. A pair of 215 mm carbon fiber woofers and a 38 mm Teteron composite dome tweeter in a unique waveguide guarantee a frequency response down to 33 Hz.

Pros – Flexible and timbrally precise sound
The new Opera Grand Mezza V.2 speakers feature a 1-inch tweeter and 5.91" main drivers with aluminum cones. With 6 ohms impedance and 92 dB sensitivity, the speakers can be easily driven even by a tube amplifier, offering refined midrange, detailed highs, and a richly textured bass. The bass acoustic design utilizes a dual-driver (DCAAV) design with a pair of series-connected chambers. The drivers were developed in collaboration with Scan-Speak, and the crossover utilizes a nearly parallel woofer arrangement.

Pros – Big scale, excellent resolution
The Focal Kanta N°3 is equipped with a 27 mm proprietary IAL3 tweeter made of beryllium, a 165 mm driver Flax (a patented Flax sandwich cone) and a pair of 210 mm woofers (also with Flax cones). The speakers play from 33 Hz and offer 91 dB of sensitivity at 8 ohms nominal impedance. There's plenty of icing on the cake here, including distortion-free power delivery technology, a front panel made of a special high-density polymer (HDP) (70% denser than MDF), and a Neutral Inductance Circuit magnet system. The Focal Kanta N°3 sounds simply superb, creating large and precise sound images.

Pros – Crystal-clear sound
The three-way Magico s2 uses 28mm tweeters with diamond-coated beryllium domes, 5” midrange drivers, and a pair of 7” woofers (all featuring the company's Gen 8 Nano-Tec cones – an aluminum honeycomb system sandwiched between layers of carbon fiber with added graphene). 86.5 dB of sensitivity at 4 ohms will test the amplifier – but given the speakers' price, it's unlikely anyone will pair them with inferior power amplifiers. The enclosures are crafted from the largest single aluminum extrusion Magico has ever used and feature an additional vertical brace. The three-way Elliptical Symmetry (ESXO) crossover features a 24 dB/octave slope with a Linkwitz-Riley filter. The Magico s2s sound incredibly inviting and create a dense soundstage, reminiscent of an open window.
