Wiener Lautsprecher Manufaktur has introduced the WLM Rudi MK2 floorstanding loudspeakers. The model is among the new products launched to mark the company’s 25th anniversary, which the brand is celebrating in 2026. Alongside the Rudi MK2, the manufacturer also unveiled the 300B loudspeaker and the updated Ella MK2. When developing the Rudi MK2, the engineers sought to transfer the characteristic qualities of the Ella series to a larger floorstanding format, retaining its energetic, coherent and emotionally engaging presentation while adding more convincing bass and a greater sense of scale.
The WLM Rudi MK2 is a three-way bass-reflex loudspeaker. Its low-frequency section comprises two 8-inch drivers with paper cones. They are arranged to radiate acoustic energy both upwards and downwards. According to the designers, this configuration allows the system to deliver richer and more spacious low-frequency reproduction while maintaining bass control and definition.

The midrange is handled by a 6.5-inch driver with a paper cone. The high-frequency range is reproduced by a cone tweeter whose diaphragm is also made of paper. According to the manufacturer, using the same type of material across all frequency bands should contribute to consistent tonal character, more natural transitions between the drivers and greater overall coherence.
The cabinet features an unusual system of four separate bass-reflex ports. According to WLM, this solution is intended not only to extend the low-frequency response but also to provide more precise integration between the drivers. The main emphasis is placed on natural sound, dynamic freedom and a cohesive musical presentation rather than on highlighting individual parts of the frequency range for added effect.

The manufacturer describes the WLM Rudi MK2 as a highly efficient loudspeaker with an amplifier-friendly load. Specific sensitivity and nominal impedance figures have not been disclosed, although the company notes that the system does not require exceptionally powerful amplification and is suitable for use with tube amplifiers. WLM’s own Josef S integrated amplifier is named as one of the recommended partners.

The cabinet measures 112 cm in height without the supports, 40 cm in width and just 22 cm in depth. Thanks to its shallow design, the loudspeakers should be easier to accommodate in a living space than many conventional floorstanding models of a similar class. Customers can choose from a wide range of finishes, including virtually any colour from the RAL palette.
A pair of WLM Rudi MK2 loudspeakers is priced at €14,900. The model is aimed at listeners who value bespoke craftsmanship, natural timbres, expressive dynamics and a substantial bass foundation. Hand-built production and the option to personalise the finish underline the loudspeaker’s position in the High End segment.
