Vivid Audio Giya Cu – the 3rd Generation of High-End Speakers

Vivid Audio has released the third generation of its iconic high-end Giya series of speakers. The new Vivid Audio Giya Cu line features drivers with copper caps (hence the name "Cu") and new enclosures made of a resin-infused glass fiber and carbon fiber composite. 

The Vivid Audio Giya Cu series includes four models: the G4 Cu, G3 Cu, G2 Cu, and G1S Cu. All speakers feature a four-way, five-driver configuration, differing only in enclosure dimensions and power handling. The G4 Cu is the most compact in the family, while the G1S Cu is the flagship model.

The new versions of the speakers feature enclosures made of the company's proprietary resin-infused glass fiber and carbon fiber composite, and the recognizable tubes behind the drivers are now integrated into the main enclosure via a system of absorbers. The new models also feature redesigned crossovers, individual Moya-style driver grilles, and redesigned terminals. The bass reflex ports have also been redesigned, featuring Reaction Cancelling technology.

The Giya Cu series speakers feature drivers with copper caps in the high and low midrange. This technology was first developed for the flagship Moya M1. While all Vivid Audio models use highly powerful Super Flux magnet systems to minimize distortion, the addition of copper caps further reduces both second and third harmonics; the latter, according to the manufacturer, is reduced by 20 dB.

Retail prices for the Giya Cu speaker line are as follows: Vivid Audio G1 Spirit Cu — €95,000, Vivid Audio G2 Cu — €55,000, Vivid Audio G3 Cu — €43,000, and Vivid Audio G4 Cu — €34,000.
