ThivanLabs Showed the Ultimate 300 Tube Preamplifier and GrandHorn Gamma Horn Speakers

Vietnamese company ThivanLabs prepared two notable new products for High End Vienna 2026. At the event in Vienna, the brand showed for the first time the Ultimate 300 Preamp tube preamplifier, as well as the new passive GrandHorn Gamma horn loudspeakers. In addition, components from the related Mavis Lab brand were presented at the ThivanLabs stand.

The ThivanLabs Ultimate 300 Preamp is a single-ended tube preamplifier built around the well-known 300B triodes. The model is aimed not only at working with line-level sources, but also at owners of vinyl turntables: the device includes a built-in phono stage for MM and MC cartridges, as well as separate support for optical cartridges.

For MC cartridges, the Ultimate 300 uses matching via a step-up transformer. The manufacturer emphasizes that the preamplifier is designed for compatibility with a wide range of cartridges, including DS Audio optical models. The presence of separate tube phono stages for classic MM/MC cartridges and optical cartridges should make the unit a universal control center for serious analogue systems.

Phono stage adjustment controls are located on the top panel of the chassis, which should simplify access to the main settings. Several exterior finish options have also been announced for the Ultimate 300 Preamp. The unit will be available in silver and black versions, with matching remote controls and several knob options – silver, black or gold.

In addition to color options, ThivanLabs mentions the possibility of choosing straight or angled cable connectors. However, the availability of these options will depend on the specific regional distributor, so the set of configurations may vary from country to country.

The company’s second important premiere was the GrandHorn Gamma loudspeaker. This is a passive three-way horn-loaded model using a 12-inch paper-cone woofer, a 6.5-inch paper-cone midrange driver and a 1-inch compression driver for the high-frequency range.

According to the stated specifications, the GrandHorn Gamma offers a sensitivity of 92 dB, a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a frequency range from 28 Hz to 22 kHz. The manufacturer recommends using the speakers with amplifiers starting from 15 W, while the optimal listening distance should be more than 2.5 meters. Each speaker measures 135 x 36 x 45 cm and weighs 62 kg.
