The German manufacturer of High End audio equipment T+A has introduced the third generation of its universal digital source MP 3100 HV Gen 3. The player is equipped with an SACD/CD drive, as well as a network streamer and a high-quality DAC with various digital inputs.
The new T+A MP 3100 HV Gen 3 player is based on the proprietary audiophile streaming platform ASA Gen 3, which provides access to many streaming services, including Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect or Apple AirPlay2. In addition, the platform supports high-resolution audio streaming in DSD format without conversion to PCM.
The signal processing has been significantly improved via a new motherboard. CD-Text support has been added too - now you can get additional information, such as album covers, directly in the MusicNavigator G3 application using the Gracenote music service. The DAC unit of the T + A MP 3100 HV Gen 3 player is based on True1-Bit DSD and Quadrupel PCM chips.
T+A MP 3100 HV Gen 3 player is expected to go on sale in November 2024. There is good news for owners of the predecessor of the new product. From January 2025, T+A will offer the possibility to upgrade the predecessor of the MP 3100 HV to ASA G3 at the factory. In addition to the new hardware components of the new streaming platform, this update includes device-specific system software. Upgrades will be available from November 2024 at authorized dealers or by contacting T+A Elektronikservice directly.
The T+A MP 3100 HV Gen 3 is now available for pre-order in silver and titanium versions at a recommended retail price of €17,300.
