The Italian company Staccato has announced the new Staccato Audio BU-01 integrated amplifier. Based on a design by Jakub Honkisz, this model delivers an impressive 300 watts of continuous power in pure Class A.

The Staccato Audio BU-01 integrated amplifier features a host of innovative circuit design solutions. Both inductors and capacitors are used for voltage and current filtering, and the transformer is heavily shielded with ferrite beads. Each output stage utilizes a matched pair of transistors with a tight tolerance of 1 mV, and all printed circuit boards were designed by the project's author.

Among the ergonomic features, a microcontroller is worth noting, which adjusts the starting volume level depending on the selected source and has a memory function for the last settings.
The Staccato Audio BU-01 amplifier supports connection of six audio sources and is now available to order for $14,990.
