Songer Audio S1x — floorstanding speakers with 95 dB sensitivity

27.11.2024 09:00 | ~1 minute read

Songer Audio has introduced a new model of floorstanding speakers Songer Audio S1x. Its basis is the latest V4 Nova driver. The driver has a redesigned geometry and construction using machined ultra-low carbon steel. The excitation coil tip is made of permendur, which gives a high saturation flux density among all commercially available metals.

During production, the company uses deep cryogenic treatment technology, when the Nova voice coil wire is immersed in liquid nitrogen for 48 hours at a temperature of -300 degrees Fahrenheit. This allows for high purity, detail and accuracy of sound.

The casing and damping of the solid hardwood cabinet have also been improved. The new product operates in the frequency range from 27 Hz to 20,000 Hz with a sensitivity of 95 dB. The price is $45,000 per pair.
